At the Gates of Baudron

Sweet Red Wine — 2023 Vintage

Accidental cuvée! We harvested this Malbec last because we had other harvest priorities in 2023. The plot was therefore harvested with a very high concentration of natural sugars. The result: a wine with 100g/L of residual sugar, reminiscent of Port wines, hence its name, which is a play on words — but also because this plot is located right at the entrance of the village of Baudron.

Beautiful black color with purplish reflections, notes of fresh hazelnuts, spices, and wood. On the palate, a surprising sweetness with aromas of candied black fruits, notes of toasted wood, with a slight bitterness linked to the tannins.

• Aging: Harvested with a very high concentration of natural sugars (100g/L residual sugar). Short aging in wood to soften the Malbec tannins.
